The store had a decent selection, and the woman at the counter was nice, but I was surprised that I wasn't asked to show ID when I made a purchase. My friend, who made a separate purchase, wasn't asked, either. She's 22, and I had just turned 21, but how were they to have known? Always. Check. IDs. I get ID'd more buying smokes at the gas station than I do when it comes to buying alcohol, and the legal age for that is 18.
